HeatShield cerfractory sealant is applied from inside the flue to seal joints and minor cracks in clay tile liners. The sealant is a calcium aluminate compound that withstands temperatures above 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. For extensive damage, a full stainless steel relining provides a new flue path from the firebox connection to the chimney top. We also offer cast-in-place liners that form a smooth, seamless flue inside the existing clay tiles.

Carbon monoxide is colorless and odorless. A cracked flue liner can allow CO to seep through mortar joints into adjacent rooms, attic spaces, or wall cavities. The Consumer Product Safety Commission attributes over 150 deaths per year to CO poisoning from heating systems. A sound flue liner is your primary defense. We test liner integrity with a Level II video inspection and provide a written assessment of any defects found.
